About me
My name is Mirtill Nicolai-Megyeri (she/her). Born in Hungary and influenced by Italian culture through marriage, I was raised in a family immersed in medicine, education, and music, fostering a wide array of interests and values. Having lived in five countries, my life reflects a tapestry of cultural influences, enhancing my adaptability and global perspective.
I had been practicing yoga and mindful meditation occasionally in the past but without a deeper meaning and understanding of the practice and my own limitations. My interest in holistic and alternative healing modalities started to grow as I wanted to get back in shape following a difficult childbirth.
Completing my first 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2022 marked a pivotal moment, igniting my passion to delve beyond the physical aspects of yoga. Additional studies in yoga philosophy deepened my understanding, guided by esteemed masters and sacred texts.
Currently, I hold certification as an RYT200 with Yoga Alliance US. I successfully finished my 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training through My Vinyasa Practice. Accumulating over 970 hours of training, I have delved into yoga philosophy, anatomy, and a range of yoga styles such as Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, therapeutic styles including pelvic floor yoga, yoga for fertility, restorative yoga, trauma-informed practices, adaptive yoga (including prenatal and postnatal), as well as yoga nidra, ayurveda, somatic strength techniques and sound therapy.
